Things I hate about studying for an exam

It’s tempting to say everything but let’s admit it, sometimes it does pay off. So instead, I’ll just put in some of the things I have been contemplating and suffering from this first day of February.

1. Not knowing what to study either because a.) you don’t have/know the necessary reference material, b.) you didn’t pay attention during class or c.) your teacher didn’t teach anything.

2. Not understanding a single word from what you’re reading.

3. The focus and concentration you desperately look for but never get.

4. Sleeping too late and waking up too early in order to meet your study plan. An extreme of this is not getting any sleep at all. All the same, you end up just adjusting your schedule.

5. Consuming a big bag of potato chips all by yourself and feeling oh-so-sleepy after a while due to excessive monosodium glutamate intake.

6. And it’s not just potato chips. Chocolates, cookies, nuts, rice meals, not to mention coffee, too. Apparently, you easily get hungry when your nose’s stuck in your notes.

7. Missing a trip to the mall with your family or hanging out with your friends or just stepping out of the confines of your home.

8. Not using the computer for the duration of your study time. And the pain of always failing to do it.

9. Counting the pages of the book or powerpoint presentations you still have to study.

10. When you’re done counting, you look at the clock and see that you don’t have enough time to finish them all.

Shit. I really should be studying. :|
