My first (at least the first one I watched intentionally) and last as an undergrad. And might I just say that I almost grew varicose veins on my legs for standing too long, just watching and taking pictures. But it was all worth it! Also, I got tired eventually during the evening so not much pictures from that time on. I didn’t even get to take a single picture of/with my friends. :( ANYWAY, here’s at least a few of what I have in my camera. Enjoy!

Was waiting and walking around the oval as early as 3 PM. And looking at all the people in great anticipation for the parade and just the plain beauty of the campus, kinda made me sad. Not that I am a Grinch or anything. It just made me miss UP as early as now. I don’t wanna go yet. :((((

And it finally started! Will bombard you with captionless pictures now. I know they’re enough to stretch that frown into an ear to ear smile. They speak so much of how happy the UP community is. :)

To the creative minds behind every lantern, every float, mascot, costumes and all, congratulations! You all did a very good job! bd

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watch the fireworks and I’m regretting it. I wanted to be among those sitting on the grass, gazing up in the sky as sparks of light burst everywhere. But all the same, Lantern Parade 2011 was a blast and I enjoyed every second of it! Hope I’d still be able to watch it next year. As an alumni, of course. :p
